Creighton engages in a business practice with emphasis on trusts and
estates, asset protection, pension and deferred compensation plans,
income and estate tax planning, and entity formation for professional
practices.
John is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the
Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
John has been listed in four categories in Best Lawyers in
America since 1994. In 2003, 2004, and 2005, John was selected as
a Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly and Law &
Politics.
He received a bachelor's degree in history from the University of
Arkansas in 1969. John graduated with honors from the University of
Texas School of Law in 1972.
While in law school, John was an associate editor of the Texas Law
Review and a member of Chancellors and the Order of the Coif.
John practices in the firm's offices in Beaumont
and Austin.
