Denise
handles civil litigation cases mainly in the area of medical
malpractice. Denise represents hospitals, doctors, nursing homes and
other clients on issues of medical malpractice, commercial litigation,
personal injury and wrongful death, family law, and other general
litigation.
Denise graduated from the University of Houston Law Center and was
admitted to practice in 2003. While at the University of Houston,
Denise was a member of the Order of the Barristers and the Houston
Journal of International Law. She received the Gus Schill writing
award and was recognized by the International Academy of Trial Lawyers
for distinguished achievement in Advocacy. She also received the Byron
McCoy Excellence in Advocacy Award. She was a member of the
Interscholastic Mock Trial Team, served as Lead Defense Counsel in the
Law Center Honor Court, and chaired Finance and Membership on the
Advocates Executive Board.
Denise is a member of the Houston Bar Association and the Texas
Association of Defense Counsel.
Denise graduated magna cum laude from McNeese State University in
1999 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. She was a member of Phi Kappa
Phi Honor Society, National Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and was a
Regents Scholar.
Denise is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) certified
volunteer.
Denise is fluent in French.
Denise practices primarily in the firm's office in Beaumont.
