Casey’s primary areas of
practice are in professional malpractice, personal injury, business
tort, and energy. Casey
also practices in the areas of commercial litigation, corporate
litigation, employment law, and oil and gas.
Casey has an energy and litigation background. She has monitored and analyzed contract requirements and made
recommendations to Texas companies regarding strategies for
maintaining corporate compliance and maximizing the benefits of the
relevant agreements. Casey has experience drafting, monitoring, negotiating, and
litigating on standard energy, commercial, and business contracts. Casey has acted as counsel in several matters and hearings on
topics related to employment law issues, business torts, collection
matters, and violations of standard land and energy agreements.
Special areas of training are NAESB Business Practice Standards,
FERC compliance, certification in SOX, and Energy Derivatives and
ISDA documentation. In December of 2004, Casey was proud to become a
graduate of Texas Tech School of Law.
While at Tech Law, Casey was an editor for the Texas Bank
Lawyer, Technology Editor for the Texas Administrative Law Journal,
a member of the Board of Barristers, and a member of Phi Delta Phi
for academic accomplishment. Casey graduated magna cum laude from West
Texas A&M University in May of 2002 where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree.
Casey is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of New
Mexico, and the Houston Bar Association. Casey has also represented entities in the National Energy
Marketers Association.
Casey practices primarily in the firms office
in The Woodlands.
