Robert Hambright
has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Montgomery
County Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management
(SHRM) as the Vice President of Legislative Action for a one
year term in 2010.
Hambright is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the
Texas Board of Legal Specialization and practices with Orgain
Bell & Tucker, LLP at its offices in Beaumont and The Woodlands.
In his position, Hambright will be responsible for monitoring
regulatory and legal developments impacting the management of
human resources, presenting monthly reports and updates to the
Montgomery County SHRM chapter, and informing elected officials
of SHRM’s position on legislation affecting the human resources
profession.
SHRM is the largest association devoted to the advancement of
human resource management with more than 575 affiliated chapters
in the United
States
and more than 250,000 members worldwide. SHRM offers recognized
certification programs for HR specialists, and its affiliated
non-profit SHRM Foundation funds HR research grants and produces
publications and other educational resources for the HR
profession.
