Mike's practice focuses on litigation and trial work within the areas of real estate, premises liability, business disputes and commercial litigation. His docket includes cases for local and national business entities. He also handles insurance coverage issues, health care malpractice and consults within the area of risk management.

Mike has tried many lawsuits to verdict in Montgomery, Harris and Jefferson County with successful results in numerous cases.  He has also appealed numerous cases with success at the Ninth Courts of Appeals and the Texas Supreme Court.

His legal activities and awards include:

• 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 Texas Monthly Rising Star in civil litigation.
• Member:  Woodlands Bar Association, Jefferson County Bar Association, Michelle F. Mehaffy American Inn of Court, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and Defense Research Institute 
• Authored and presented numerous articles at state and local seminars for attorneys and paralegals
• Featured Cartoonist: Jefferson County Law Journal

Mike graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1998. While attending Texas Tech, Mike was on the Board of Barristers and National Mock Trial Teams.  He received the Top Gun Trial Advocacy Award, which is the most prestigious award given at Texas Tech for excellence in litigation skills.  

Mike graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama with a B.A. in English in 1994.

Mike practices primarily in the firm's office in The Woodlands.
