Greg has a statewide trial practice with a concentration in the
areas of first and third party insurance coverage and bad faith,
transportation, construction, personal injury, wrongful death, and
commercial litigation.
Greg has served as trial counsel in jury trials to verdict in cases
involving insurance coverage, transportation litigation, personal
injury and wrongful death, premises liability, products liability,
and medical malpractice.
He works as lead trial counsel or insurance coverage counsel in
matters pending throughout the State of Texas.
Greg has served as a member of the State Bar of Texas standing
committee on Pattern Jury Charges – General Negligence and
Intentional Personal Torts since 2005.
Greg is a member of the International Association of Defense
Counsel, an elite organization of around 2,500 peer-reviewed
in-house counsel, insurance executives, and outside counsel
representing business entities across the world.
Greg currently serves on the IADC Insurance and Reinsurance
Committee and the Trial Techniques and Tactics Committee
Greg currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas
Association of Defense Counsel.
Greg also serves as a member of the
District 3A
Unauthorized Practice of Law Subcommittee.
Greg was named a Texas Rising Star in the area of insurance coverage
by Texas Monthly and Law & Politics for the years 2004 through
2010.
Greg is a frequent author and speaker on continuing legal education
topics including first and third party insurance coverage and bad
faith claims, the Stowers doctrine, insurance underwriting and
claims handling practices, Chapter 542 (formerly Article 21.55) of
the Texas Insurance Code, Texas jury charge submissions, dram shop
liability, the Texas Lawyer’s Creed and other ethical considerations
applicable to the modern legal professional, and the exercise of
personal jurisdiction over out-of-state defendants by Texas courts.
Greg is admitted to practice in all state trial and appellate courts
in Texas, all federal district courts in Texas, and the Fifth and
Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal.
Greg graduated magna cum laude from Texas Tech University School of
Law in 1996. At Texas Tech, Greg was a Comment Editor of the Texas
Tech Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. He graduated
cum laude from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1992.
Greg is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the College of the State
Bar of Texas, the Jefferson County Bar Association, the
International Association of Defense Counsel, the Texas Association
of Defense Counsel, and the Defense Research Institute.
